Peanut has a mild nutty flavour, and is generally a good neutral choice for cooking. It has a moderate smoke point of 180 degree Celcius. Rich in MUFA and PUFA, peanut oil is good for HDL. Peanut oil is rich in omega 6 fatty acids and Vitamin E, one teaspoon of Peanut Oil has 11%of RDI of Vitamin E. Main role of Vitamin E is to function as an antioxidant, protecting the body from harmful substances called free radicals. It is also essential for red blood cell formation, cell signalling and preventing blood clots. Effect on Tridosha: Calms Vata and slightly increases Pitta and Kapha Dosha
